(if you’ve had your wisdom teeth out)
In a vein similar to our wily friends on Long Island, Jose Cordova, heir to the Chrysler Cordoba Fortune and Erich Astudillo have discovered an interesting molecule that fights cavities.
But unlike “Cavistat”, the Chilean scientists aren’t introducing a molecule-set that reinforces teeth.
It supposedly kills off Streptococcus Mutans, the bacteria that creates the greatest number of cavities in your teeth.
The only problem I can think of is: What if S. Mutans has another set of purposes, like creating Wolverine, Rogue, Magneto and Dr. X maintaining a wider microbial balance in your mouth, sinuses, GI-tract, intestinal flora and maybe even immune system?
If Jose and Erich get their funding and do their studies, we may soon find out; possibly in the mouthwash aisle at the local CVS.
Hit up the link for a few more details and an interesting discussion.
