-Ok, I just made that product name up. But it’s a good one, eh?
Anyway, the ultimate use for this treatment will probably be limited to plastic-surgery spot-improvements,
But Dr. Ouliana Ziouzenkova of Ohio State University and her team have come up with an injectable substance that remodels fatty tissue, ~dissolving it in a way.
What it does is to use a very unique type of fat that has an active metabolism, and lets it leak out tiny little holes in the injected capsules into the surrounding tissue. It then creates more of this, “Brown Adipose Tissue” on-site.
From there, these new tissue groups, or “Thermocytes” liberate the stored fat in the surrounding area; -by metabolizing it.
In the few experiments they’ve run, test mice were able to lose 10% of their bodyfat in one month. They still asked how they looked in their jeans, though.
However, even after it’s available about 6 years from now, the new injectable will likely still not be a solution to General bodyfat issues.
-Especially because proper nutrition is the real solution. And if that remains bad, the fat will just eventually come back; possibly somewhere else.
Just ask anyone who’s had liposuction.
