Watch What You Eat!:
Emily Deans makes a brilliant leap on nutrition-based psychology.
In yet another salvo against Inflammation, Dr. Emily theorizes a link between that emerging health boogeyman and,
… Psychology.
It turns out the processed-food, ADM-sponsored, corn-oil-based imbalance in our current diet between Omega 6 and Omega 3,
-Can affect not only our general level of inflammation-based ailments, like autoimmune and arthritis, etc.
Nutrition=Mindset:
And it’s not just our bodies; but our BRAINS can become the victims of this imbalance, too!
No wonder Omega 3s have become a recent recommendation for good health on pretty much all fronts.
The harder part is this: Analyzing your current diet to root out sources of inflammatory Omega 6 oils.
Corn Oil Is Everywhere:
-As hinted at earlier, one of them is Corn oil; -and it’s found in abundance in pretty much every processed food there is.
Any food with HFCS in it would also be a big source, as that syrup may retain some of the Omega 6 components of corn.
I’ll leave all the sneaky details, theoretical leaps beyond the standard brain-chem theory of depression,
And links between other inflammatory agents, proteins, serotonin, SSRIs, etc. to Emily’s article over at PsychologyToday.
Processed-Food Profits = Your Loss:
-But the idea that something like Inflammation can reach out from simple accidental profit/savings-driven diet-oversight,
Through a series of a thousand tiny nebulous links, as far out as something like psychology, neurogenesis, depression,
And ultimately, quality of human existence, are just frankly Mindblowing.
Butterfly-effect, indeed…
