Antibiotics So Effective They Eliminate The Patient, Too!:
The need to detox from Cipro Antibiotics inspired this great site about possible side-effects following a course of it, and it’s called Surviving Cipro.
I found it when researching fixes for the ones I experienced awhile ago.
And I’ll +/-duplicate a comment I put there over here.
-Because I ran into what might be an interesting tool in the fight to get your health back after ‘getting Floxed’.
Fast-forward to a few months ago: I’d started drinking tea instead of coffee.
Cipro Detoxing All Started With A Strange Brew:
After awhile it got a little boring, so I ventured further out into the weirder and more interesting ones they had at the supermarket.
And it turns out one of them was this stuff called Sweet&Spicy Caffeine-Free, by Good Earth Teas
And it’s pretty not bad. It tastes great, mixes well with several other teas, & it’s a little bit sweet; -as the name would imply.
Cipro Floxed Me When I Went Drinking [Other Stuff], Too:
Now, Keep That In Mind as we Rewind back further in-time to a few months after my Cipro issues started.
One Night, I had a drink.
-One- Drink.
And the next morning, it was like the alcohol was still in me.
It was like that for most of the day.
It was the weirdest I ever felt after just 1 drink in my life. -Like someone had lightly braised my spleen in migraines and anti-freeze, and was shoving it up my nose sideways via my soft-palate for 14 hours. -YECH!
I certainly didn’t want to repeat that performance, so I laid off the stuff for a good while.
The Absentminded Bro-Fessor Strikes Again:
So now Back to The Future recent-past, though I would have some periodic small recurrences of the Cipro-like side-effects, I decided -almost absentmindedly- to have a drink again.
-And it went absolutely-fine.
Fine, like Early-20’s-Drinking-Ability;-I-AM-BRO-SEIDON-SEA-TITAN-OF-TITANIUM-LIVERS-fine.
Amazing!

So What In Hades Made This Amazing Change Happen?:
Now this is all just anecdotal, and it could have been Any Number of supplements, vitamins, or wheatgreass-freebasings I’ve taken since-then,
But probably the weirdest, most out-of-pattern thing I’ve drunk or eaten since the side-effects…
-Was the Sweetener In Good Earth’s Teas:
Chicory.
So I looked it up on Wikipedia, and right there, what does it mention?
–AntiHepatoToxic properties!
-BOOM!
AntiHepatoToxic properties.
-BOOM!
Your Mileage May Vary, But There Are Worse Ideas…:
I have no idea how worthwhile or not this is, how powerful Chicory can be for helping or even cleansing one’s Liver,
-Or if it even rates at-all when compared to many of the good+less-risky treatments mentioned over at Sites like Surviving Cipro.
-But if you’re in the same place I was, and you’re not prohibited from having the stuff by your Doc or Pharmacist,
Then maybe even something as simple as a cup of funky herbal tea (similar to the odd+inspiring story of Jamie Shupak) could help make your post Cipro detox a little bit better?
