
Really neat application of LCD technology here.
emPower glasses have both manual and automatic activation of the close-focus zone in their embedded LCDs via an accelerometer and can hold enough charge for about 2 days.
They also do their job with considerably-less distortion than other glasses.
If only the costs would come down from $1,200.00, this type of tech could go much more mainstream & make vision-correction a little bit less unpleasant for glasses-wearers.
